Have ever felt stuck or stifled by circumstances, people, or things? Then unquestionably you are not alone. Ups and downs are part of the process of life, however how we handle them can determine how we savor and live life. Realizing that you have been sleeping at the wheel of life or struggling with things that don’t matter can be a wake-up call for you to reorganize and reconnect with The Healing Spirit.

What is The Healing Spirit? The Healing Spirit may be called or recognized by names such as God, Infinite Intelligence, Supreme Being; or that cool reassuring breeze that we feel while taking a walk in nature. Whatever it is or how you define it, it is always available to us every second of the day as a reminder to usher us into a more complete and fuller life.

The difference between living the life we imagine and the life we lead is contingent upon how we connect with The Healing Spirit. People, events and things can cause our attention and energy to be focused elsewhere. Especially when we give specific meaning to them. Therefore, energy and attention in the moment is not available to us. Instead of living and being from a place of peace and knowing, we instead become overruled by external events, people, situations and things. Hence, we lose our connection with this sense of peace.

How to reconnect:

  1. Take a look at and account for your organizing principles. Organizing principles are our perspectives of how we view the world and situations. These principles can be colored by our experiences (both negative and positive), and our prejudices. Be aware of hurtful organizing principles in your life such as “life is hard.”
  2. Shift your organizing principles to a more positive and empowering focus. Instead of using organizing principles such as “life is hard,” how about “you are blessed!”
  3. Be aware of these organizing principles daily, and consciously choose principles, thoughts and feelings with a higher vibration. Practice this daily using meditation or taking a walk in nature. Both of these are proven to reduce stress, remove clutter and help you reconnect with a deeper sense of purpose.

During this season of thanksgiving, be grateful for the quiet reminders in life of what is really important. The laughter of loved ones and friends, the smile of a new born baby or the sunset over the ocean. It is The Healing Spirit which embraces us all in a positive and loving field of energy. From this, remember that it is self-love that primes the pump in life and sets all energy in motion.
